Hike stroll or amble, barbecue by the river, catch trout in the lake or mountain streams, or just sit and watch the light move across the mountains. Original features have been retained to add to the relaxed ambience of a classic mountain cabin with wood heater, comfortable furnishings, crisp cotton sheets and wool doonas make your stay as adventurous or laid back as you wish. This alpine retreat is set in an established mountain garden with a backdrop of the australian bush lung fulls of crisp mountain air, the scent of eucalyptus after rain, the roar of the rivers that feed lake guy and showering under pure river water are some of the special features of coocarah. After the brilliant display of autumn the leaves fall and the cabin is bathed in winter sun.
